Romerillo comes to us from Jhony Saavedra, a sixth generation coffee farmer, who owns and operates Finca El Aserio. The five hectare farm is planted with roughly 4,500 coffee trees per hectare including caturra, catimor, pache, and bourbon varieties. Roughly half of the family’s income comes from the sale of coffee.

El Aserio is part of Origin Coffee Lab’s sourcing program, which aims to develop long term relationships with farmers and establish infrastructure to improve coffee quality and increase the household income of producers.
